To Debbie's family:
I was a high school friend of Debbie's, and I'm saddened to be given the news that she is gone.
Debbie was a courageous, determined and artistic teenager and I am glad that she continued her life
with those ideals. I remember that she was a very
approachable young soul who loved to talk. She and
another friend and I would have conversations for hours
and hours in my attic "sanctuary".
Multi-talented, Debbie made everything look easy,
although in retrospect, I am sure that it wasn't
always. She sewed the most beautiful dress for
me in white eyelet. It's still my most unforgettable
dress.
For me, Debbie represented everything that was good
about Peterborough, a sort of funky intellectualism,
an idealistic energy. Debbie was made of energy, she
was always going places when we were young. It's
good to see what she accomplished with all that momentum. It is only sad that her storyline was so short.
My heart goes out to you, her family and friends.
She was a remarkable, unforgettable person.
Her friend from Crestwood,
