DOUGLAS ALBERT YOUNG - Dec. 22, 1932 - Oct. 1, 2006
Doug leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Marie, children Jennifer (Murray) Lunitz, Mike (Verna), 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Doug had a very full life and was a loving husband and father. He was loyal to his family and community. Doug worked for 5 years with the Metro Toronto Police Force, 17 years as ConstableYoung with the Richmond Hill Police Force and also Travelways Bus Line before starting his own successful construction company on Chandos Lake. As busy as Doug was he took the time to serve 12 years on Chandos council. If there is an afterlife, Dad can once again stand proud as a horseshoe champion beside his good friends Bruce Harris and Harold Forbes. A memorial service will be held at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME on Thurs., Oct.5, 2006 at 11:00 am. with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers donations to Sick Childrens Hospital Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital, P.R.H.C. Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
