Obituary for Zelda Arletta Kinsella (Taylor)

Zelda Arletta Kinsella (Taylor)
KINSELLA: Zelda Arletta (Taylor)
Passed away at her home on Tuesday October 19, 2010. Zelda (Taylor) of Selwyn in her 75th year.
Zelda’s sun has set and her journey has just begun. We lost our beautiful Zelda on Tuesday. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie, daughter, cousin, niece and friend. She was an award winning cook and gardener who loved to listen to music and read novels, science fiction and poetry. She loved fine art and never missed a yard or rummage sale. She was a kind and generous spirit who touched the lives of all that knew her. Never holding a grudge, she treated all with kindness and caring. Zelda loved her language and was a great speaker of Anishinaabemowin. She loved to sit with her sisters and brothers and share laughter and memories over many cups of tea, cherishing her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and was a hero to her children. She spent many happy years with her husband Bill, over the years travelling, puttering in their garden and spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves this place much better than when she was born into it. A gaping hole has been left in the hearts and minds of all who loved her. We love you Zel, and know that you are no further than a whisper away. We will carry you in our hearts and honour you in our memories.
Beloved wife of Bill Kinsella. Loving mother of Sal Taylor (Mary Allin), and Anne Taylor (Scott Braden). Grandmother of Rowyn and Eliza Braden-Taylor, Morgan Swerdferger (Brian), Jesse, Elaine and Brooke Knott and Jason Taylor. Great grandmother of Jarrett, Rachel, Jessica and Nolan Swerdferger, Sunny, River, Ethan and Denver Knott, William Duff and Olivia Williams. Dear sister of Pukwiss Johnson, Audrey Knott, Harriett Scheloff (Curtis), Rhonda, Peter (Rose) and sister –in-law of Shirley Taylor. Predeceased by her parents Gladys McCue and Dick Taylor, brothers Hugh and Chief and sisters Brenda and Ethel Taylor. Friends and relatives may call at the Curve Lake Church on Thursday October 21st, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Curve Lake Church on Friday October 22nd, 2010 at 11 AM. Interment Curve Lake Cemetery. Rev. Ken Lawton officiating. Friends may send condolences by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or 705-652-3355.
