BARNES, Henry Gordon (Retired Teacher Scarborough Board of Education and Ex Flight Lt. 415 Squadron R.C.A.F.)

Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Sunday March 24, 2013. Gordon Barnes of Peterborough, formerly of Agincourt in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of 63 years to Muriel “Bonnie” (nee Banting). Loving father of Peter Barnes (Patricia) of Ancaster and Martha-Anne “Marty” Smith (Stephen) of Peterborough. Loving Granddad to 5 grandchildren and “Granddad Gord” to 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Joy Latimer (late Robert) of London and Mary Aitkens (late Donald) of Montreal. Predeceased by parents Rev. James and Lily Barnes and brother Dudley (Dorothy). A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Lakefield on Thursday March 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment of Urn at Hillside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church or a charity most meaningful to the donor.
