Obituary for Robert Young Scott

Robert Young Scott
SCOTT: Robert Young “Bob”

Passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Saturday February 2, 2013 at the age of 80. Bob Scott was born and raised in Toronto but moved to Lakefield for a simpler life in the 1980’s. He was a considerate man who embodied kindness and compassion toward everyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved keeping busy with his many projects. In his retirement years, Bob enjoyed working at the Lakefield College School as a custodian. He will be dearly missed by his wife Dottie of 60 years, Dorothy (nee Sheard). Pops and Dado is lovingly remembered by his two children Karen of Lakefield and Rob (Vivian) of Mississauga. Bob was a very loving and special Grandpa to Caitlin (Catie-Doo) and Madison (Maddo). We just know he is in heaven right now looking for things to do to help God out! That’s the kind of guy he was. He is survived by his brothers-in-law Syd Sheard (Trudy) of Collingwood, Herb Sheard (Elizabeth) of Staynor and sister-in-law Joan Mercer (Bob) of Picton. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 12:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kawartha Cardiology Clinic or Children’s Stage Lakefield. Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355. Thank you to the nursing staff at P.R.H.C. and a very special thank you to Doctors Archibald, Hughes, Swain, and Vajid for their wonderful care and support of Bob. Your kindness will always be remembered.
