Enid and I send our deepest condolences regarding the passing of this positively extraordinary woman. I shall truly miss Mrs.Young's appearance and demeanor, sitting boldly upright in the Young home or in her room at the wonderful Extendicare residence, her deep voice positively crackling with both articulateness and humour, in the warm and benignly authoritarian matriarchal manner that she conveyed. Always a witty remark or perceptive challenging question on her lips, and always happier talking about a subject outside of herself, like asking how you yourself were. Such grace and charm are rare, and Gladys Young, ever "young" still at 96, was indeed one of those rare ones every family cherishes and hopes to have. May she rest in peace.
