Passed away peacefully on Saturday November 24, 2012 at St. Joseph's at Fleming Nursing Home, Peterborough. Allan Dawe of Peterborough in his 98th year. Allan attended Lakefield College School from 1929 - 1933. Husband of the late Anne A. Crawford (2006). Dear father of Michael Dawe (Jenny) of California and the late infant Sandra. Brother of Kathleen Wemyss of Lindsay. Remembered by his nephews Richard Wemyss and Michael Crawford (Betty) as well as his brother-in-law Brian Crawford (Fay) of Young's Point. Predeceased by his parents W.A. Dawe and Kathleen (Bailey). Allan will be truly missed by his beloved cat Misty. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Thursday November 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.) as expressions of sympathy.
