DONALDSON, Joan Marilyn
Passed away peacefully with family by her side after a courageous journey with Ovarian Cancer at the P.R.H.C. on Monday, September 26, 2011. Joan (Preston) of Norwood in her 64th year. Beloved wife of 41 years to Ralph Donaldson. Mom will always be loved and cherished by Kevin Donaldson (Kelly) and Leanne Donaldson (Nelson Lavigne). Bama and Nannie’s greatest joy was her grandchildren Emily, Hunter, Noah, Abbie Kate, Karly and much anticipated baby boy due October 31. Also remembered by her brothers Albert (Lynn), Cliff (late Janet) and Verne (Cheryl) and by her many nieces and nephews. Special daughter-in-law of Yvonne Donaldson (late Harold), and lastly rescued by Joan, Jack was a great lap and walking companion. Predeceased by her parents Evelyn and Marvyn Preston. Joan’s family would like to thank all of her many dear friends, especially Marlene, Cheryl, Brenda, Anne H., Anne V., Glenda and Monica for their love and support. A very special thanks to the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care, most notably Julie and Linda. Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. A reception will follow at the Trinity United Church Hall, Hastings.
