Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" A.H. Davis (Charnley)

Elizabeth "Betty" A.H. Davis (Charnley)
Davis, Elizabeth Anne Howe (nee Charnley)
Betty passed away peacefully at Lakefield Extendicare on Wednesday July 13, 2011 with her family by her side. After 22 years apart, she will forever be in the arms of her loving husband Don. Betty was born in Montreal Quebec on March 11, 1929, and in 1950 she opened a door to a stranger who was to be the love of her life. In 1951, on July 14 she married Donald Lloyd Davis, and had Heather Anne (Kit Martin), Susan Elizabeth (Duke Ashford), and James Hamilton. To say that Betty loved being a mother was an understatement. The only thing she loved more was being a grandmother, at which she excelled. Ryanne Mary (Jordan Ritchie), Nicholas Christopher Donald, Lauren Elizabeth, Andrew Webster (Lindsay Roedding), and Kristal Leigh knew her as Grandma, a word that sounds simple, yet holds more love, trust and memories than one could ever imagine. A private family service has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Lakefield Extendicare Nursing Home as expressions of sympathy. Friends may send condolences or make donations by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL at 705-652-3355 or www.hendrenfuneralhome.com.
