Condolence From: Sean Ryan
Condolence: Colm Quigley was addressed as Mr. Quigley by the children in our home of which I was one of five. I remember as a child awakening in the wee hours of the morning to the sound of laughter, singing and, of course, the accordion. On his business travels Mr. Quigley often dropped by very late at night or early morning. He roused my parents by throwing pebbles against their window. Then the party began.

I am deeply sorry I missed the funeral. But I have a wealth of wonderful memories of Mr. Quigley who lit up our house every time he visited with his broad smile, hearty laugh and incredible speed and talent on the accordion. My parents, Jim and Elsie Ryan, adored him. His celebration of life continues to have a profound and enduring impact on me. I will always remember him. God Bless You Mr. Quigley.

We will miss his cheery smile and the chats about his native town Ballina Co Tipperary. We are so happy we visited Norwood in 2005 and will always treasure how kind Colum and all of you were to us. The music in Heaven must be very special, now Colum has joined the Lords band! Beannacht De uirthi. Ni bheaidh a leitheidi ann aris. Barry and Freda Co Tipperary Ireland.

Condolence: To Kathleen, Sandra & Greg and all the family please accept our deepest sympathy on Colm's passing. He was a great character and I have very found memories of the sessions and the chats back in Killaloe and Ballina and down in Garrykennedy when we got the chance. He'll be missed and I've no doubt whenever I see an accordion he'll spring to mind. Take care and we'll have a small wake and tear for him in London but also a smile for the fond memories, sincerely Barry and Rodica Gleeson, London.

Condolence: Dear Sandra,
So sorry to hear about your Father.
He was quite a guy. Lots of stories, laughs, and music of course. He and my Dad were great friends. After my Dad died, I always enjoyed hearing stories from Colum about their times together. I remember the first time I met Colum. I was attending school in Lakefield and Dad came for a visit. Off we went to the "Ship and Shore" in the village to a see friend of Dad's play in the band. That was in the early seventies. The last time I saw Colum was about a year or so ago, at your home in Norwood. I was passing nearby and stopped in for a visit. I heard a few more stories, shared some laughs, enjoyed a music recital by your boys. He was a proud Grandfather! I will always remember our last visit. As your Father would always say "God Bless" I will miss him.
