Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Dan O'Brien of R.R. 4, Lakefield in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Julia (Edwards) and her late husband John Patrick Parberry. Dear step-father of John Parberry (Helen), Paul Parberry (Sandra), Peter Parberry (Darlene), Faye Campbell (Murray), Jean Crosby (David), Merle Post (late Bud), Joan Hilker (Cyril), Una Warner (Keith) and Linda Hughes (Bill). Dan will always be loved and remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his late wife Effie Marshall, step-daughter Teresa Oliver, siblings Florence Earnshaw, Genevieve McCauly, Mike and Fergus O'Brien and by his parents Mary Kelly and Dennis O'Brien. Relatives and friends may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6 - 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Lakefield on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. Interment St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Youngs Point. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
