Obituary for David Howard Bant

David Howard Bant
BANT: David Howard

Aged 75 years, of Ennismore, Ontario, ended his courageous battle with cancer on April 8, 2012.

David is survived by his wife and soul-mate Diane, Johnathan his son and Paula (Hroncich) his daughter. He was a loving and attentive “papa” to his grandchildren Colton, Sierra and Megan who provided him with a constant source of pride and joy. David was a loving husband, caring father, attentive papa and wonderful friend.

David worked for General Motors in Oshawa for over 40 years and was an automobile enthusiast, Elvis Presley fan and outdoorsman. He thoroughly enjoyed a family meal gathering, in which the week’s events were reviewed and the latest business and political news debated. His unyielding dedication and support of his family in their educational and business endeavors is his legacy.

We will miss his guidance, perspective and passion for life. His grandchildren will miss the love, fun and surprise visit from Santa Claus he delivered each Christmas.

A special thank you to the palliative care unit of Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their care, support and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Donations and condolences may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
