Passed away peacefully, with her four children by her side, on Saturday December 08, 2012 at Extendicare, Lakefield, in her 88th year of life. Beloved wife of the late Charles Frederick McIlmoyl (August 25, 1978) and the late Charles Allan Gill (September 7, 1994). Daughter of the late Thomas Wesley Davis (June 7, 1983) and Ruby Violet Colman (November 28, 1946) and stepdaughter of the late Violet Lizetta McCall (August 21, 1983). Forever loved by her children Patricia Miles (Robert) of R.R. #2 Lakefield, Nancy Bedford (Dan) of R.R. #2 Inverary, Bonnie Zeran (Sterling) of R.R. #3 Lakefield and Thomas McIlmoyl (Vickie) of Peterborough. Stepmother of Bryan Stanford (late Linda) of Peterborough. Loving grandmother of Blair Miles, Darrell Miles, Derek Bedford (Jen), Melissa Weber (Mike), Steven Dunford (Stacey), Michael Dunford, Shari McIlmoyl-Quizon (Steve), step-grandmother to Kelli Grady (Tony), Kasey Zeran (Marsha), Tracy Bulger (Toby), Kelly Corrigan (Patrick). Loving great grandmother of Dana MacKenzie, Charlie Bedford, Sophie & Benjamin Weber, Parker & Logan Dunford, Kelsey, Jamie & Makenna Quizon, step-great grandmother to Allie & Josephine Grady, Sarah & Zachary Zeran, Dayle Ann & Devin Bulger and Liam Corrigan. Loving great great grandmother to Kalea and Zoe. Dear sister of Gordon Davis and Shirley Alexander (Garnet) and sister-in-law to Frances Davis. Predeceased by her brothers Robert & William Davis. Ruth will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A funeral service will be held in the Hendren Chapel on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Lakefield Cemetery.
