Condolence: Dear Gloria, I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy. We re-united at the reunion two years ago and I was looking forward to seeing you, Jimmy and your boys at the next one. It's been a long time since Jimmy first introduced you to our family and then we all went our own ways. I wish that we had kept in touch and that our children got to know each other. You and your sons will miss Jimmy terribly, but look at all those wonderful memories you have of him.

Condolence From: Arlene Dunbar-Pillsworth
Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Galvin family. I knew Jimmy from the time I was a child and went through high school with him. At that time, he was always a leader with a 'smile from ear to ear', and a hero in our athletic and cadets. I was away from Lakefield for many, many years, thus didn't ever meet his wife and children, which is my loss. I had seen Jimmy many times around Lakefield and am happy that I made contact and was able to say or wave 'HI' . It is shocking news to hear of his sudden passing and reminds us to enjoy each day that we are blessed with. Too soon he has gone. I am unable to attend any services as I'm away right now, but do know that my heart is with you. Arlene

Condolence: It is with great sadness that I find myself sending my sincere condolences to Jim's family. I grew up with Jim and we were together in school and many sports related activities in Lakefeild until I joined the Army in 1956. Jim was always a model for others to follow, nothing deterred him. Unfortunately I just had major surgery and I am not able to attend his service. Please accept my heart-felt sympathy in your lose of a great man. Don

Condolence: Jim's passing has sent a ripple through the Village of Lakefield, as he was at the heart of what was so important to so many of us. Whether he was at the hockey rink, ball park or many, many Lion events, he made an impact. It is people like Jim that set an example for all of us, not by what he took, but by what he openly gave to so many, right down to his warm smile, I will truly miss seeing each week. You have left a wonderful legacy for your family, and community, to be very proud of. With my deepest sympathy, to Gloria, Bob, John, & Jeff. Tracy

Condolence From: Judi and Leon
Condolence: My family and I have been so blessed to be a part of Jim's family. We had a few "bonding" times together being the 'outlaws' of the Buta's and shared a few stories.. over a few. He welcomed my daughter and son openly and also our (Leon & I) grandaughter's. He took a shine to his little 'stump buddy' and always asked about all of them. Jim was a very special man and we were ALL very lucky and blessed to be a part of his life. I am deeply sorry that he is gone and will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers will always be with you Gloria and your great sons. Love you all very much. I posted this perfect picture I found and named it "Jim still smiling" - because he always did. It was taken at Mamma Buta's at a family gathering.
