Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday July 19, 2012. Ron Mahood of Smith Township at the age of 81 years. A well respected Smith Township farmer, Ron was born on his family farm in 1931 and lived his entire life on the same farm in Smith Township. He is loved and missed by his wife Joanne (Rosborough Underwood). Also missed by his faithful companion, Bandit. Lovingly remembered by his children Wayne Underwood of Curve Lake, Richard Underwood and his wife Kathleen of Terrace, B.C., David Underwood and his wife Heidi of Fort Nelson, B.C., Mark Underwood and his wife Gail of Burleigh Falls and Stephen Underwood and his wife Tammy of Young’s Point. Papa and grandpa is remembered by Aaron, Terra, Jamie, Kynnan, Amber, Jennifer, Amber, Ryan, Shawn, Sarah, Glen (Denise), Yvonne, Jacob, Kendra and Alexis. Papa Ron and great grandpa of Ashley, Cora-Lee, Josh, Amber and Joy Lynn. Predeceased by his parents Ernest & Ethel Mahood, his brothers Laurie, Keith & Noble Mahood and by his sisters Bertha Graham and Marjorie Boyce. Ron was the last of his generation. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 1-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Selwyn Outreach Centre, Lakefield Rd., on Monday July 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Interment to follow the reception at Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough. Memorial donations may be made to the Five Counties Children’s Centre or the charity of one’s choice as expressions of sympathy.
