OKE: David Herbert
Passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday February 1, 2012. David Oke of Westwood in his 78th year. David was a longtime teacher, having taught in Africa ('70-'73), Toronto and Peterborough and was an avid farmer at his home near Westwood. Loved and missed by his wife Doreen (nee Steinhauer). Also missed by his daughters Marion Dundas Oke (Clinton) of Kamloops, B.C., Susan Pulfer (Rick) of Westwood and Lesley Oke Hayward (Robert) of Guelph. Grandpa is remembered by Kiah, Marisa, Emily, Christopher (Kate), Jamie, Erika (Tinashe), Will, Jenn (Jordan), Graeme and Leah. Survived by his brother Derry Oke (Susan) of Ottawa, sister Doreen Oke of Vancouver and sisters-in-law Cristina and Shelagh Oke. Predeceased by his parents Wesley & Dorothy and two brothers Donald & Doug Oke. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Monday February 6, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Norwood United Church on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
